Leafing Aluminium Powder — Standard & Speciality Grades
High-Performance Metallic Pigments for Reflective & Decorative Applications. Leafing Aluminium Powder is a high-brilliance metallic pigment designed to create reflective, chrome-like finishes in coatings, inks, plastics, and printing applications. Its unique leafing behaviour allows aluminium flakes to align parallel to the surface of the film, producing high reflectance, excellent coverage, and strong metallic effects.
The product range includes standard PPP-series grades and advanced speciality SS & LPSH series developed for enhanced brightness, smoothness, and controlled particle morphology.
- High leafing value for superior metallic reflection
- Excellent surface coverage and opacity
- Controlled flake morphology (corn flake structure)
- High brilliance and chrome-like finish
- Narrow particle size distribution (selected grades)
- Suitable for coatings, inks, plastics, textiles, and aerosols
- Good alignment and orientation in film formation
- Available in standard and speciality performance grades
Morphology & Processing Notes
- Type: Flake aluminium pigment
- Particle shape: Corn flake morphology
- Wet sieving medium: Mineral spirit
- High orientation in coating film improves reflectivity and surface smoothness
